• in full sway: 한창인
• put into effect: 시행하다
• to stay / to go: 매장용 / 테이크아웃용
• fail to comply: 준수하지 않다
• come with: ~이 동반되다

However, a staggering amount is used world-wide, and the amount of trash has ballooned out of control.

그러나 전 세계적으로 엄청난 양이 사용되면서, 쓰레기의 양이 겉잡을 수 없이 증가했다.

 

Voices of concern over the side effects of using plastics excessively have increased the world over.

플라스틱 과다 사용의 부작용에 대한 우려의 목소리가 전 세계적으로 증가하고 있다.

 

Campaigns to reduce plastic use are in full sway in Korea, too.

우리나라에서도 플라스틱 사용 줄이기 캠페인이 한창 진행 중이다.

 

What a waste.
