A diet can only be successful if you set a time period and a goal, and have the resolve to follow them.

다이어트는 무엇보다 기간과 목표를 정해 놓고, 반드시 지키겠다는 굳은 의지가 있어야만 성공이 가능하다.

resolve toRV: ~하겠다는 의지

   뒤의 원형부정사가 앞의 resolve를 '~할', '~하는' 으로 해석되므로 to부정사 형용사적 용법
