Reservations for dental clinics, hospitals and hair salons can be counted among the most common.

치과, 병원, 그리고 미용실 예약을 가장 흔하게 하는 것 같다.

 

I reserved a Saturday morning time slot, but it slipped my mind because I was a bit scatterbrained that day.

토요일 오전으로 예약을 해 놓았는데, 그날 정신없는 일들이 많아서, 깜빡 잊어버리고 말았다.

scatterbrain은 '주의가 산만한 사람'이라는 명사입니다.

 

There's a time slot open tomorrow morning.

내일 오전에 비어 있는 시간이 있네요.

'시간(이용)이 가능하다'라는 의미로 open이라는 단어가 사용되었습니다.

 

However, something important came up on the day of.

그런데, 예약 당일에 중요한 일이 생겼다.

-thing으로 끝나는 something, nothing, anything, everthing과 같은 단어는 명사임에도 불구하고 형용사가 뒤에서 수식합니다. eg) something special

 단어 thing은 보통의 경우와 같이 형용사가 앞에서 수식합니다. eg) special things
