Like clockwork, some seasonal maladies arrive each time the seasons change.

계절이 바뀌면 어김없이 찾아오는 계절성 질환들이 있다.

 

It can really feel like the pits, making it difficult to get through the day.

정말 고통스러워서 일상생활을 하는 데 지장이 있기도 하다.

making으로 시작하는 분사구문에서 가목적어, 진목적어가 사용되었어요. 원래 진짜 목적어는 to get through the day인데, 문장 구조와 의미 전달을 확실하게 하기 위해서 목적어 자리에 가짜 목적어 it을 두고 진짜 목적어를 목적격 보어 difficult 뒤에다 놓은 구조입니다.

 

In the dead of winter, when it's very cold, the flu can be a critical issue for the elderly and for children.

날씨가 매우 추운 한겨울에 독감은 노인이나 어린이에게는 치명적일 수 있다.

 

It comes and goes.
